Requirements: macOS 15.5 or later and an Apple Silicon Mac (M1 or later). The current build is not yet notarized; follow these steps only for Sumi downloaded from this website or the official GitHub repository.

    Download Sumi

    Open the DMG when the download finishes.

    Move it to Applications

    Place Sumi.app in /Applications before opening it.

    Open Sumi

    If macOS reports that Sumi is damaged, copy and run these commands in Terminal.

    sudo xattr -dr com.apple.quarantine "/Applications/Sumi.app"
open "/Applications/Sumi.app"

    The Terminal workaround is only for current non-notarized development builds.
